Are We Having Fun Yet? Strategies for A Design Career

Tuesday, May 19, 2026
7:00 PM to 8:15 PM ET [ Online ]

2025 didn’t kill the design career… but the situation does feel so much more challenging. Burnout, constant adaptation, and quiet exhaustion have become part of the job.

In this session, Rodney Echols explores how designers can build resilience, practice shifts in mindset, and practice making work lovable, sustainable, and even enjoyable work again. Expect clarity, energy, and ideas you can actually use Monday morning!

This is an online event.

Speaker Michele Ronsen is a researcher, builder, and founder of Curiosity Tank, where she helps teams turn messy ideas into clear, actionable direction — and increasingly, into things you can actually use.

In this session, she will walk through what it looks like to move from researcher to builder — using real examples from her recent work, including an AI-powered Research Plan Assistant and early-stage product prototypes designed to help teams pressure-test ideas before they build.

Connection, Community, and the Future of Work [Online]

Thursday, May 28th, 2026

Event by: Rosenfeld Community

Corporate jobs have conditioned us to divide work life from community. The division of labor disconnects us from meaningful work, from customers, and from each other. Dave Gray, Author of Liminal Thinking and Lou Rosenfeld will open a conversation about the questions we’re holding and what we are learning about connection, community, and the future of work. This will be an informal session. We will kick it off with a few thoughts and open the floor for discussion.
